Capybara

The Capybara crew has been taking a well-deserved break for the past few days, returning to beautiful Taos, New Mexico where they recorded Try Brother earlier this year.  Mark reported last night that they’ve been stuffing themselves full of green chile and working on their acoustic chops for the next leg of the tour, which resumes TONIGHT in Albuquerque at Heaven & Hell!  Come and check it out!

Or, if you’re far from the desert, Capybara will be making an in-studio appearance tomorrow evening at KRUX in Las Cruces and playing the acoustic songs they’ve been working on this week.  You can listen tomorrow live via THIS LINK, and they should go on around 4pm MST!

As those of you who have been following our Twitter stream know, we’ve been playing some sweet in-studio shows at radio stations across the country on this tour.  Today is no exception:  we will be playing live on the air at KZSC in Santa Cruz, California TONIGHT at 7PM PST!  You can listen live here and call into the station and heckle us.  We’d love to hear from you!

Last saturday marked the beginning of our three month fall tour that will sweep across the midwest, pacific northwest, west and southwest.

The CD Release event was held outside in the breeze at the Yard adjacent to the Beaumont Club where a metal show preceded us, rocking like the hammers of Thor
about a hundred old & new friends showed and dance-rocked the lawn for our set — half of which is new material & half from “Try Brother” — all of it re-envisioned musically for fireflies & cicadas plus a few set design & sample surprises

updates will be posted more regularly about upcoming shows
so follow closely and don’t miss us when we’re in or near your city!!

we are eager to get in touch with as many venues & bands as we can along the way and still have some open dates that we’d love to fill, so spread the word and contact us!
